VNX+ is a new small-form-factor (SFF) VITA 90 proposed standard based on the published VITA 74 VNX standard. The VNX standard defines a form factor intended for spaces that are too small for a VPX module, at 89mm by 78mm with 19mm and 12mm height options. This form factor is roughly 30 percent of the volume compared to a typical 3U VPX.
The VNX specification defines the physical size of the two standard-size modules, the module connectors, and the pin assignments of the signals on the module connector. The VNX+ standard expands on VNX introducing higher power capacities and new connectors.
